I suspect now we are here that we might trim it a couple of times a year, it's a fairly big job to do just once a year. Might be less of a chore if we keep on top of it say once every 6 months. Is it laurel? I got deeply cheesed off at the neighbouring farmer who took a "faucheur" to a mixed hedgerow 2m on OUR side of the boundary late summer. Made a right mess of it.
